Humanpapillomavirus(HPV)検査は子宮頸がんの主な原因であるHPV感染の有無を判定する検査で子宮頸部前がん病変の診断に必要不可欠である。当該検査に使用する細胞採取器具には円錐型とブルーム型が存在する。本研究目的は，円錐型ブラシとブルーム型ブラシのいずれが当該検査に適しているのかを検討することである。方法は，30名の患者に対するHPV検査において、円錐型およびブルーム型ブラシの両者を用いて子宮頸部細胞を採取し、検査結果一致率と不適正検体率を比較した。結果は，円錐型ブラシ、ブルーム型ブラシの両者において、高危険群HPV陽性率（Kappa(K)係数0.93）に相違は認められず、不適正検体は認められなかった。これらの結果からHPV検査陽性率が細胞採取器具の形状に影響されないことを初めて報告する。
Human papillomavirus (HPV) testing is essential for the diagnosis of cervical cancer. Two types, conical- and bloom-type, of brushes to collect cervical cells were used for the test. The purpose of the present study was to determine whether conical or bloom brushes are more suitable for HPV testing. The method involved collecting cervical cells from 30 patients requiring HPV testing using the two collection instruments simultaneously, and the test result agreement rate and inappropriate specimen rate were compared. No differences in the high-risk group HPV positivity rate (kappa (K) coefficient 0.93) were noted between conical- and bloom-type brushes, and no inappropriate specimen was observed. Our data demonstrate for the first time that the HPV test positivity rate is not affected by the shape of the collection device. |
