 note = {Recently,we had the chance to dig sorne sides of foundation basernents and to inspect the wooden piles driven in about 30 years ago. As the under ground water level is found at about 1.0m and wooden piles are subrnerged at all times, so the conditions of wooden piles are good than expec ted. However, by the test of cut blocks of piles which were found in situ.,it was seen that the cornpressive strength of piles as a material shows a fall at the central part of section.},
