After receiving Taktil® care at rest in the supine position, they were placed at rest again. Data were collected before and after the treatment by using objective and subjective indices.\nResults: Four subjects (men; age, 64.3±10.9 years) were included in the analysis. No significant changes were observed in vital signs between during and after Taktil® care. Furthermore, no such changes were noted in blood oxytocin and cortisol levels; however, post-treatment decreases in the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory score and the Visual Analogue Scale for pain, as well as an increase in relaxation effects (short-form self-report measure to assess relaxation effects), were observed.\nDiscussion: Our results suggested that Taktil® care can be safely performed in cardiovascular surgery patients during the phase of potential injury caused by invasive therapies, and that patients may experience less subjective pain and anxiety and feel more relaxed after the treatment, leading to stress
